Tortlogic's primary concern is the security and confidentiality of subscriber information, which is why Tortlogic employs state-of-the-art security and encryption technology to protect subscriber data.

Some of the security features of Tortlogic's website are outlined below: Tortlogic requires that all communications in to the website be file upload only. Users must log in to Tortlogic's password-secured site to upload documents, which are stored and accessed in an encrypted format. Unlike most web sites, Tortlogic does not allow users to transfer documents in and out of the account over public Internet channels, such as via e-mail.

Tortlogic's servers are housed separate data centers, more than 100 miles apart and there is redundancy to ensure uninterrupted user access to the Tortlogic platform.

Each account is secured by a unique combination of User ID and password. If the Tortlogic system detects multiple attempts to access an account with an incorrect password, it will “lock” the account.

In addition to passwords and data encryption, data access is protected through multiple levels of network security to prevent unauthorized access and to help protect the privacy and integrity of customer data. We use state-of-the-art firewalls which permit or deny connections based on packet filtering, application proxying, and pre-existing sessions.

Tortlogic employees do not have access to any information placed into the system by our customers. We do not know what is in the records saved; and we do not sell this information to anyone. Our Customer Care Representatives do not know any user passwords and can only reset a password upon verification of the user.

While Tortlogic is not subject to the strict guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), we voluntarily follow these guidelines, and our management team includes an attorney that is familiar with the requirements of HIPAA.
